Deregulated Greed: A California Crisis

On March 22nd, 2001, the College Green Party at UCSD, in tandem with the Green Party of San Diego County, hosted its inaugural fundraising event with Ralph Nader, Jim Hightower, Medea Benjamin and Robert Nanninga, at the Price Center ballroom on the UCSD campus. The main focus of this event was to raise public consciousness around the issues of energy deregulation and the politics of grassroots activism. In addition, we were able to raise close to $10,000 thanks to the generous donations of our audience members.
