SOLAR BOND INTIATIVE - JUSTIN - 10 MINS Greenpeace representative, Justin Dawe, will present the Solar Bond Initiative campaign in San Diego expected in March. Following the victory of the Solar Bond Initiative in San Francisco, Greenpeace and community organizations are working on a San Diego bond initiative to take advantage of the huge solar potential in Southern California. The goal is to implement solar bond initiatives in 10 cities in the next two years in California in order to increase demand for solar energy and bring down the cost. Come find out more about this campaign in San Diego. 4. TREASURER'S REPORT-5 MIN. 5. REVIEW ELECTION RESULTS - LUPITA, 10 MINS. 6. OFFICE SUSTAINER PROGRAM - ANN - 10 MINS. Ann Menasche will talk about the "office sustainer" membership to help us keep our office and to grow, grow, grow! 7. INTRO TO GPCA & REGIONAL STRUCTURE- MAGALI - 15 MIN. Magali, our at-large representative to the Green Party of California's coordinating committee will present an introduction to the GPCA, our regional structure and other state party updates. It would be especially helpful for those who would like to volunteer to become delegates (see Item 8). 8. DESIGNATING DELEGATES TO JANUARY PLENARY - 15 MINS The delegates to the California general assembly are our representatives at the January meeting in Santa Clara County (Jan. 11-12). The delegates are required to attend the GPCA plenary, participate in state-level discussion, vote on state decisions and report back to the San Diego Greens. The delegates will be reimbursed for registration costs, plus plenaries are really fun and a great way to get involved in the Green Party and meet the main people behind the State party! 9. DISCUSSION OF ISSUES & CAMPAIGNS - ALL - 34 MINS. Using the momentum generated with the great showings of the Greens during the elections, we will spend some time discussing the upcoming campaigns and projects of SD county. The goal would be to discuss the issue campaigns that you, the members, would like to see the Green Party work on. Please join us and share your opinions, knowledge and ideas and help us develop our strategy for this year! Proposed issues so far for the coming year: electoral reform (IRV & campaign finance), affordable housing, anti-war movement, "free trade". 10. PROTOCAL FOR USE OF WEBSITE - 6 MINS. KARINE Karine will be presenting the latest on the Green Party website, which is becoming more interactive and easier to use. 11. APPROVAL OF ANTI-MILITARIZATION LETTER- LUPITA-5 Letter to the school board members to protest the expansion of the military into all San Diego high shools.... 12.
